Tim Cason

Vocals/Guitar/Bass

My family calls me Timmy, I was known as Skelly for many years in the music business in California. I was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. My parents divorced when I was very young, and my mother remarried with a fighter pilot, my stepfather Noble, to whom I am very grateful. He taught me a lot about life. I bought my first guitar at 10 years old with money I earned at my grandfather's restaurant, Staffs in downtown Fort Walton Beach. My grandfather's name was Docie.

I started playing bass guitar for St Mary's Church at about age 12. After high school, I studied at Auburn University and independently studied music theory with a private instructor. I eventually joined a band, cut a demo and was offered a music contract from a small record label in California. The band moved there, and we recorded a terrible album lol. As bad as it was, it did get my foot in the door so to speak and I was able to meet some very talented musicians. While playing music in Southern California I went back to school for electronics engineering. At about age 30 I stopped playing music and focused on my electronics career. Over the next 15 years I owned multiple businesses and became proficient in all types of electronics repair, eventually moving into a high-tech position recovering data from computer hard drives. I dabbled in music over the years and did a lot of writing and recording but very little performing publicly. Then, a friend asked me to work with him starting a tribute band to The Who. I played guitar, the part of Pete Townsend. It was very successful, and we played lots of shows at large venues, casinos, amphitheaters etc. I left the band about the time COVID started. I then began performing with several different churches, playing both bass and guitar. During that time, I wrote an entire album of material and started a band called Kings 'n Aces. We released the album in 2020. I also connected with pastor Steve Barker and was instrumental informing the One Worship project, which was a conglomeration of musicians from many different churches. We traveled all around Southern California worshiping at different events. It was very rewarding. As a repair guy, I've learned to work on just about everything. My main business now is handyman repairs and home remodels. I can fix just about anything, except people. That's up to them. ðŸ˜. A couple of years ago, after meeting the love of my life and getting married, we decided to move back to Fort Walton Beach. I was blessed to connect with Redeemed Worship Band.

Over the years I've had many favorite worship songs. I would have to say my current favorite is GOOD GRACE because it just touches me and brings me closer to God. God has blessed me in so many ways. A wonderful family and upbringing; health and prosperity; many talents and most importantly, my wife, Jenny. For many years I played music for myself, but it was not very rewarding. Playing worship music has been such a fulfilling experience and has taught me so much about life. I am extremely fortunate to be part of Redeemed. There are so many talented musicians and kind souls, all on the same path and mission: bringing the love of Christ to others through music.
